Playbooks: rules written before the situation arrives

A playbook is a situation you already recognised, plus a rule you wrote down while you were still neutral about it. The order matters. A rule invented during a trade is a justification, and justifications cannot be reviewed later because they were never falsifiable in the first place.

Each playbook here states its trigger in terms another person could apply identically, names what following it costs, describes the case where it fails, and gives the condition that retires it. Nothing in this section claims that a playbook makes money, because no honest publication can.

Format
Trigger, action, cost, failure case, retirement condition
Test
Could a second reader apply this rule and reach the same decision
Excludes
Backtests, win rates, profit figures and any claim about outcomes
Review
Every playbook assumes you are journalling, or it cannot be checked

02Entry

Entry rules that survive review

03Journal

Building a trade journal

A journal schema with the fields that make a review possible, a weekly cadence, and the honest limit of what any sample of memecoin trades can tell you.

A playbook is only half of a method

A trigger without a size limit and an exit is an opinion with a timestamp. The risk section holds the other half, and the situation notes hold the observations that the triggers are built from.

Situations

The recurring shapes a Solana market takes when liquidity arrives, moves or leaves: a first listing, a migration between venues, an activity spike, and the ordinary hours in between.

Risk rules

The part of a method you actually control. Size chosen from depth rather than conviction, exits decided before entry, and an invalidation written in advance so a bad trade ends on schedule.
